Getting Excited

Spring Break is just around the corner and I can just about see it!! It's definitely a long time coming.  I am so excited to actually be taking some time off work without having to bring a child into this world first! Luckily for me, I get a whole week off with just my kids (and Kylee), the beach, my sisters (and Andrew), and my parents !! I can not wait!!!!!  Until then, I would appreciate it if Mia would stop acting like a brat when I tell her no and pack her own bags!!

So since we still have a week left lets hope that Hunter can get rid of his ouchy looking butt rash (it might help if he could cut down his number of poops in a day...I mean who poops 5 times a day!!!!) I'm also hoping he can be rid of his pesky runny nose.  I think it's on its final leg but I don't want to jinx it! I'm just thinking the beach might be a little better if it's not stuck to Hunter's booger face!

I can't wait to see the kids playing in the sand and the water.  I really think they are going to love it.  Mia already thinks the picture of the girls laying in the sand in her book are hilarious so I imagine beach angels to be in our future!

Now hopefully I can get some things accomplished this weekend.  I need to pack for all three of us which I think is just crazy! and then I need to clean the house for fear that it won't get done while I'm gone and no one wants to come home to a messy house! Of course we still have a wedding to go to and grandparents to visit! It'll be a fun weekend and if I don't get everything done there is always another day. Spending time with the people you love always trumps all the other stuff!!!!

So, wish me luck...

Hunter the Pig!!

Last night Jared and I realized that if we aren't careful Hunter might end up being the fat kid in class! Last night he ate like a pig!!  He started off with Puffs as an appetizer.  When he got restless after eating those he had a whole container of chicken and veggie ravioli.  After that he devoured a bowl of mandarin oranges.  He still seemed a little hungry so we let him go after a corn muffin! You guessed it, after it was all over it was time for a bath, bottle and bed.  Oh well, at least he was happy, so much for baby food!!

Happy Birthday Mia Marie!!!

Happy Birthday Mia Marie, I am so proud to be your Mommy and to watch you grow each and every day.   You have brought so much joy to our lives in the past two years and we can't wait to see what you bring in the years to come.  We've had a wonderful couple of days celebrating your 2nd birthday.  We started with your birthday party on Sunday and continued with a little celebration tonight! On Sunday we had Nana & Pops, Grandma & Grandpa, Nonny, Grandpa Andy, Uncle B & Kayci, and Uncle Zach, Aunt Erin & Kylee over for chili and hotdogs as well as some MICKEY MOUSE CAKE!! You got some amazing presents from everyone too! You got a new kitchen set, a Barbie jeep, a dancing frog, some books, a Mickey Mouse tricycle and some really cute clothes and much, much more.  You are so blessed to have so many people that love you! Keep making us laugh and stay sweet! We love you! Happy Birthday and enjoy the pictures and movie that follows!!

Bath Time Fun

Hunter splashing in the bath tub.  It drives Mia crazy and gets me soaked but Hunter loves it!  Every time I lay him down he does the same thing.  I can't wait to take him to the beach to see what he does in the ocean and pool!!!

MOMs

A baby asked God, 'They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?' God said, 'Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.'

The child further inquired, 'But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.' God said, 'Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy.'

Again the child asked, 'And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?' God said, 'Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.'

'And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?' God said, 'Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.'

'Who will protect me?' God said, 'Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.'

'But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.' God said, 'Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.'

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name.'

God said, 'You will simply call her, 'Mom.'

I just reread this and thought, what an awesome opportunity we have as mom's in this world, so I though I would share!!

It's been awhile

So, it's been awhile since I've written anything so I decided it's time for a quick winter recap!  We've definitely still been busy although I thought I was going to be having a nice, relaxing winter.  It seems like we have something going on every weekend even if it's only over to Nana & Pop's or Grandma & Grandpa's house.

Mia is definitely the little helper now.  She demands to change Hunter's diapers and her baby's.   It seems like she is learning more and more every day.  She is starting to learn her ABC's and trying to learn her colors (even if she thinks everything is either blue or pink!) She now only likes to go potty at her grandparents' houses...although she did use the one at home for the first time in like a month tonight!

Hunter has been growing super fast lately.  He has finally figured out how to crawl "normally" although he still worms when he gets really excited! He's also now pulling himself up on everything whenever he gets a chance.  Mia thinks it's great, especially when he peeked his head through the banister when she was coming down the stairs.  She just kept saying "wook" and doing that fake laugh of hers.  Hunter is now eating big kid food too! Chicken nuggets, mac & cheese and everything!!

It's definitely fun to watch them both grow and learn new things.  I can't believe we are celebrating Mia's 2nd birthday this weekend!! I know I will have more to say then so I'm just going to keep this short and sweet tonight! Looking forward to tomorrow...
